Training and Consultation Appointments
There are three ways to make appointments for either a group training session or a one-on-one training appointment where you can ask specific questions and we will attempt to help you answer your questions or help you with individual training. (There are no dumb questions.)
- Call us on the telephone on our land line at (801) 295-4444 or text us on our cell phone (385) 210-9123. We will try to find a time convenient for both of us to spend some consultation time together about Family History.
- Send us an email at: [email protected] We will respond either by email reply or a telephone call.
- Go to the “Contact Us” button at the top of our web page. Send us your name, email, telephone number, address, and a message about what training you want or need. We will reply as soon as possible.
These lessons are excellent for beginners as well as seasoned genealogists. Many unique ideas and examples are available for consideration as provided by FamilySearch and our own experience.
Lessons will consist of FamilySearch training videos and discussion time. We use the FamilySearch Learning Series. The lessons are designed to be viewed in the order they are suggested. However, there is nothing to prevent you from skipping around to view only the videos that interest you.
This is an excellent opportunity for you to learn from basic to complex procedures. These lessons also point out what you might need to do if you are training others to do Family History work, such as Temple and Family History Consultants.
The lessons are divided into thirteen (13) sessions where videos will be shown and discussed after each video. It is intended that these sessions will be available as needed. Our training facility will handle from one (1) to six (6) individuals. By yourself or together as a group where you can bring your laptop to connect to the internet. You can log into FamilySearch. This allows you to have hands-on training while you operate your computer and take notes. We are very patient in our training. Please give us a try.
If desired, we will make copies of the videos onto a flash drive so you can watch them at your own location.
